Hyperlexia

Every hear of hyperlexia? I hadn't until Sandy mentioned it in a recent post.

The symptoms sound a lot like our experience with PDD.

Sandy says it's a recently developed diagnosis, still being figured out where it fits -- is it a subgroup of PDD? Is it its own category?

Even if DB doesn't quite have either Aspergers or hyperlexia, it's good to know there's another possible diagnosis out there to get kids out of the catch-all bucket that PDD is.
